Important Reminder: On match days, NJ TRANSIT service to the stadium is available only to FIFA World Cup 26™ match ticketholders with a valid NJ TRANSIT rail ticket to NYNJ Stadium. Tickets are limited (40,000 per matchday) and can ONLY be purchased in advance via the NJ TRANSIT Mobile App. Tickets will not be sold at stations or on-board trains.

For the easiest trip to NYNJ Stadium, customers in New York City should purchase NJ TRANSIT tickets with Penn Station New York (PSNY) as the origin. As NJ TRANSIT’s primary hub in Manhattan, PSNY is specifically optimized to handle high-volume event travel, with frequent departures and clear connections through Secaucus Junction, helping to avoid delays and get to the match smoothly.

Matchday Pre-Event Information

  • Rail service from PSNY to Secaucus Junction begins approximately four (4) hours before the scheduled match time. Schedules will be shared closer to the tournament.
  • Know Your Boarding Zone: On matchday, customers will be assigned a Boarding Zone, which will be displayed directly on their NJ TRANSIT ticket. Customers should arrive at PSNY during the time slot they selected when purchasing their ticket and proceed to their designated queue location:

    Boarding Zone “A” (Red) at 32nd Street & 6th Avenue

    Boarding Zone “B” (Blue) at 33rd Street & 7th Avenue
  • Ticket Inspection & Boarding: Upon arrival, ticketholders must proceed to their designated Boarding Zone to enter the queue. Staff wearing red (Boarding Zone A) or blue (Boarding Zone B) vests will check match tickets and NJ TRANSIT rail tickets to NYNJ Stadium before allowing entry.
  • Only ticketholders in their assigned Boarding Zone may board; entering the wrong zone will result in denied boarding. Customers without a match ticket and a valid NJ TRANSIT rail ticket to NYNJ Stadium for that specific match will not be permitted to enter the queue.
  • During ticket inspection, each ticketholder will receive an official NJ TRANSIT Matchday Wristband. Wristbands are matchday specific and must be worn at all times, including to board return service for travel after the match. No Wristband, No Ride.
  • Upon obtaining an NJ TRANSIT Matchday Wristband, enter PSNY to board a train to Secaucus Junction. Soccer-themed signage and NJ TRANSIT staff will be there for guidance.
  • At Secaucus Junction, all customers must transfer to NYNJ Stadium service. Soccer-themed signage and NJ TRANSIT staff will be there to assist.

Matchday Post-Event Information

  • During the match, limited service will operate from NYNJ Stadium to Secaucus Junction for customers who choose to leave early before the match ends.
  • At the conclusion of the match, departure service from the stadium will increase, operating on a frequent schedule for approximately three hours. Schedules will be shared closer to the tournament.
  • After exiting the stadium, follow clearly-marked NJ TRANSIT signage and staff holding signs, along designated pathways, to the NJ TRANSIT loading areas.
  • At the NJ TRANSIT loading areas, customers will be directed to return service to Secaucus Junction, via either a train or a bus. The NJ TRANSIT Matchday Wristband is valid for travel on both modes, and travel time from NYNJ Stadium to Secaucus Junction is approximately the same by train or bus.
  • Fans are encouraged to enjoy on-site stadium activities and entertainment after the match before departing.
  • As a reminder, please have your NJ TRANSIT Matchday Wristband visible to access NJ TRANSIT return service. The NJ TRANSIT Matchday Wristband is valid to travel on both NJ TRANSIT train or bus. No Wristband, No Ride.
  • Once arrived at Secaucus Junction, follow “To NYC” signs, and NJ TRANSIT staff will be there to help you find your return train to PSNY.

From Other NJ TRANSIT Stations to NYNJ Stadium

  • Customers traveling from all other NJ TRANSIT stations within New Jersey must originate at or connect via either Secaucus Junction or Hoboken Terminal for direct rail service to NYNJ Stadium.
  • Important Note: Customers returning to Hoboken from NYNJ Stadium after the match must transfer at Secaucus Junction.
  • Service from Secaucus Junction and Hoboken Terminal to NYNJ Stadium begins approximately four (4) hours before the scheduled match time. Schedules will be shared closer to the tournament.

Main, Bergen, Pascack Valley, and Port Jervis Lines

  • Trains on Main, Bergen, Pascack Valley, and Port Jervis Lines will bypass Secaucus Junction and operate to Hoboken Terminal, where customers can board direct rail service to NYNJ Stadium.
  • Important Note: After the match, customers must transfer at Secaucus Junction to return to Hoboken.
  • At Hoboken Terminal, ticketholders must enter the designated queue at Boarding Zone HOB (Purple) near Track 18. Staff wearing purple vests will check match tickets and NJ TRANSIT rail tickets to NYNJ Stadium before allowing entry. Soccer-themed signage and NJ TRANSIT staff will be there for guidance.
  • During ticket inspection, each ticketholder will receive an official NJ TRANSIT Matchday Wristband. Wristbands are matchday specific and must be worn at all times, including to board return service for travel after the match. No Wristband, No Ride.

Raritan Valley Line

  • Most trains on the Raritan Valley Line terminate at Newark Penn Station (NPS). However, some may continue to Penn Station New York (PSNY). If your train ends at NPS, transfer there to a NY-bound train that stops at Secaucus Junction. If your train is NY-bound, you must disembark at Secaucus Junction.
  • At Secaucus Junction, during the restricted time period, only FIFA World Cup 26™ match ticketholders are permitted to exit the train to enter the designated queue at Boarding Zone SEC (Green). Staff wearing green vests will check match tickets and NJ TRANSIT rail tickets to NYNJ Stadium before allowing entry. Soccer-themed signage and NJ TRANSIT staff will be there for guidance.
  • During ticket inspection, each ticketholder will receive an official NJ TRANSIT Matchday Wristband. Wristbands are matchday specific and must be worn at all times, including to board return service for travel after the match. No Wristband, No Ride.

Morristown, Gladstone, and Montclair-Boonton Lines

  • Trains on the Morristown, Gladstone, and Montclair-Boonton Lines can terminate at Penn Station New York (PSNY) or Hoboken Terminal. If your train is NY-bound, you must disembark at Secaucus Junction. If your train ends at NPS, transfer there to a stadium-bound train.
  • Important Note: After the match, customers must transfer at Secaucus Junction to return to Hoboken.
  • At Secaucus Junction, during the restricted time period, only FIFA World Cup 26™ match ticketholders are permitted to exit the train to enter the designated queue at Boarding Zone SEC (Green).   • Customers traveling to NYNJ Stadium via the Atlantic City Rail Line (ACRL) should be advised that service is limited and requires multiple transfers. Customers must transfer at Pennsauken Transit Center to NJ TRANSIT River Line light rail to Trenton Transit Center, then transfer again to Northeast Corridor service to Secaucus Junction to connect to stadium-bound service.
  • At Secaucus Junction, during the restricted time period, only FIFA World Cup 26™ match ticketholders are permitted to exit the train to enter the designated queue at Boarding Zone SEC (Green). Staff wearing green vests will check match tickets and NJ TRANSIT rail tickets to NYNJ Stadium before allowing entry. Soccer-themed signage and NJ TRANSIT staff will be there for guidance.

  • Trains on the Main, Bergen, Pascack Valley, Port Jervis, Northeast Corridor, and North Jersey Coast Lines will depart directly from Secaucus Junction after the match.
  • Trains on the Morristown, Gladstone, and Montclair-Boonton Lines depart from Hoboken Terminal or Secaucus Junction. If your train originates from Hoboken Terminal, you must take a train from Secaucus Junction to reach Hoboken Terminal to connect with your train line.
  • Trains on the Raritan Valley Line depart from Secaucus Junction or Newark Penn Station (NPS). If your train originates from NPS, you must take a Northeast Corridor or North Jersey Coast Line train from Secaucus Junction to reach NPS to connect with your train line.
  • Ample signage and NJ TRANSIT staff will be there for guidance.
